“Sneaking Into Places That Weren’t Designed For Me” (SIP) is an independent exhibition I created, curated, designed, and led as Creative Director. The first edition took place in 2023 in Gothenburg, Sweden, supported by ABF (the country’s largest non-profit educational association) and Loud Grrrl.
Born out of critical reflection, SIP challenges how the creative industry often marginalizes non-academic knowledge and excludes voices that don’t align with traditional, white, cis, and sanitized standards of intellect and creativity.
The exhibition celebrates creative expression that exists outside conventional boundaries. It featured the work of 11 dissident Brazilian artists: Nadine C, Vics, Zuzzis, Beatriz de Paula, Olivia Ribeiro, Jean Prado, Peu Lima, Beto Neri (Preto Novo), Coletivo Fudida Silk, and Dunieto. It was held in the basement of Hagabion Theater, with free public access.
